Maserati, premium car subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler, shows the exterior shape of the Maserati Levante – first SUV in history over a hundred years the brand. The new model complements the existing range of sedans and sports cars, expanding the offer in conjunction with the Quattroporte, Ghibli, GranTurismo and GranCabrio models.
Lift design has clear associations with the Maserati brand and its distinctively Italian character: the aggressive front introduces new tapered headlights separated into two elements, with the upper headlight attached to the radiator grille.
Already the design signature Maserati is clearly visible on the sides: three iconic air vents on the front fender; column “C” in trapezoidal shape with the “Saetta” and the large windows of the frameless doors. technical level, the Maserati Levante chassis is designed to match the performance typical of Maserati road with high quality handling even on surfaces very low adhesion and excellent off-road performance. The new SUV has standard suspension with electronic management that controls the firmness of the dampers and the young ladies; Q4 drive system intelligent four-wheel and automatic 8-speed transmission. The available engines are gasoline and diesel, all compatible with the Euro 6 emissions standard.
Maserati Levante is built in the Mirafiori plant in Turin; the first cars ever roll off the assembly line with the launch scheduled for the second quarter of this year in Europe and the rest of the world until the end of the year.
